Civil Search On-Line Instructions - Go to http://magistrate.columbiacountyga.gov (This is for CIVIL only.) - Click on Civil Case Records. - If you know the case number that you are searching for, click on Case. - Enter the case number you are looking for and click on search. *If the case is older than 2009, you must enter six digits behind the letters. For example: 2008SCG001234 or 2007SCD000123. If the case you are searching for is a 2009 case and beyond, you just have to enter the year, letters and numbers. For example: 2009SCG100 or 2009SCS1234. - If you don’t know the case number you are searching for, you can search for a person by clicking on Party. - Once you click on Party, enter the first three letters of the person’s last name and follow it with an asterisk Then click in the first name field and enter the first three letters of the person’s first name and follow it with an asterisk Click on search.
