Columbia County Library Board Meeting November 8, 2022 • 11:30 am In attendance: Columbia County Library Board • Russell Wilder, Board Chair • Marianne Frye, Treasurer • Janet Wheatley • Stephanie Coghlan Absent • Marlena Bergeron (Phone) • Patrick Conley • Tripp Calloway Library Staff • Mary Lin Maner, Library Director • Devin Morris, Regional Admin Coordinator Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 11:33 am. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved unanimously and without comment. Approval of Minutes The minutes from the September meeting were approved with changes. Treasurer Report See Treasurer Report. Ron Lentz from Edward Jones returned to give CD rate options for the CD that matured at the end of October. The Board voted, with Marlena via phone, to reinvest the CD for 6 months with Edwards Jones through Bank of China NYC at 4.5%. Friends of the Libraries Checkbook balance = $59,362 County Library Manager Report See Stat Report. ---PAGE BREAK--- Report New Business Board voted to approve changes to the Bylaws. Unfinished Business Final updates to the Request for Reconsideration forms will be given at December’s meeting and the board will vote on the changes. 4 new Request for Reconsiderations were submitted, a subcommittee has been formed to review the materials. A decision on the requests will be made at the December meeting and the patron will be invited to present her case. Regional Board will meet at 10:30 am instead of 11 am due to a Request for Consideration in the Regional level. Next meeting: Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Columbia County Library. Meeting adjourned at 12:23 pm.
