Columbia County Library Board Meeting May 10, 2022 • 11:30 am In attendance: Columbia County Library Board • Russell Wilder, Board Chair • Marianne Frye, Treasurer • Tripp Calloway • Marlena Bergeron • Janet Wheatley • Patrick Conley • Stephanie Coghlan Absent Library Staff • Mary Lin Maner, Library Director • Devin Morris, Regional Admin Coordinator Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 11:47 am. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved unanimously and without comment. Approval of Minutes The minutes from the April meeting were approved unanimously without comment. Friends of the Libraries No update. Board members requested to see the Friends bylaws for review. Treasurer Report See Treasurer Report. Marianne detailed a conversation she had with our Edward Jones agent after there was a discrepancy in the account statement. Marianne explained a suggestion from our Edward Jones agent to cash out the CDs we have in other banks to move all funds to Edward Jones. The Board decided to leave the CDs with the banks they are currently located at, as to keep the relationships with these banks and to not have all the funds in one location. ---PAGE BREAK--- Marianne suggests that we wait until Oct when the next CD will be maturing and make a decision about potentially moving it then. Marlena made the motion, Patrick seconded, all voted in favor. County Library Manager Report See Stat Report. We will be holding the Putt-Putt in the Stacks in July as a Fundraiser for Friends. Report New Business Unfinished Business None. Next meeting: Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Columbia County Library. Meeting adjourned at 12:30 pm.
