Columbia County Library Board Meeting October 11, 2022 • 11:30 am In attendance: Columbia County Library Board Russell Wilder, Board Chair Marianne Frye, Treasurer Tripp Calloway Marlena Bergeron Patrick Conley (Zoom) Absent Janet Wheatley Stephanie Coghlan Library Staff • Mary Lin Maner, Library Director • Devin Morris, Regional Admin Coordinator Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 11:34 am. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved unanimously and without comment. Approval of Minutes The minutes from the September meeting were approved with changes. Friends of the Libraries Checkbook balance = $59,692 Friends paid for the speaker for our Regional Staff day and for lunch and snacks for staff. Since reopening the Friends store in October 2021, Friends has made almost 10k. Treasurer Report See Treasurer Report. Ron Lentz from Edward Jones came to speak with about the options that the board has for the CD that is maturing at the end of October. Board will make a decision via email when the CD matures based on the available interest rates. County Library Manager Report See Stat Report. ---PAGE BREAK--- Report New Business Update to By-Laws: Article 6 will be updated to more clearly specify the policy for having an Audience with the Board. Citizens may request an audience, but it must be a minimum of 1 week before a regularly scheduled meeting. Request must be made to the County Libraries Manager and citizens will have 5 minutes to speak. Unfinished Business Updates to the Request for Reconsideration Form will be discussed via email and finalized at the next meeting.
