1 Licensing Department Development Services Division Citizen Self Service for Temporary Alcoholic Beverage Permits APPLY FOR PERMIT Before you can file, you must have completed the registration process and received confirmation from Licensing Department that your Citizen Self Service (CSS) and business license accounts are linked. Log in to the Citizen Self Service website. The profile information for your account will automatically generate on the log in screen. The information is taken directly from the application for the business license/occupational tax. Click on Permits and Inspections to begin the application process. Click Apply Online to begin the application process. ---PAGE BREAK--- 2 Scroll to the Licensing section and select TABP Temporary Alcoholic Beverage Permit. Enter the physical address of the location for the event. In the Street name, it is better to partially list the name (such as Cold for Coldwater) and omit the street type (Drive, Road, Street, Parkway, etc) and suite numbers. Click Search when complete. Please do not use the parcel or owner name. Permits can only be issued to a location with an assigned address. Choose Select and Continue for the correct location ---PAGE BREAK--- 3 Complete the form using the table below and click Continue. Please use all caps when typing information. GTC Confirmation Enter the confirmation from your application to Georgia Tax Center website. Licensed caterers should enter CATERER Additional information Do not use ---PAGE BREAK--- 4 Verify the accuracy of the details of the project, enter the validation number, check the acknowledgement box and click submit. Note: The acknowledgement mostly pertains to building permits and is likely to change as the site is developed. The screen shot below is as of July 2023. A confirmation with the application reference number will display. You will also receive a confirmation email from [EMAIL REDACTED] Select ‘Pay all payable items now’ to make payment. ---PAGE BREAK--- 5 PAYMENT MasterCard and Visa payments are accepted. A $3.00 convenience fee is applied to each credit card transaction. We encourage you to pay for as many permits as possible at one time to keep your convenience fees to a minimum. Payments submitted are imported the next business day. You cannot receive same day permits by paying on line. Select the permits to pay and then click ‘Add to Cart’. You may now move to another project and select those items to pay or proceed to checkout by clicking ‘My Cart’. (Of note, the screen shots below are for a building permit, but it functions the same as a temporary alcoholic beverage permit) ---PAGE BREAK--- 6 Upon completion of the payment processing, a payment verification screen with a confirmation (reference number) will load and you will receive a confirmation email. ---PAGE BREAK--- 7 APPROVAL PROCESS Upon submission of a complete and paid application, it will be routed for approval. The typical review time is one week. You will receive the issued permit or reason for denial from [EMAIL REDACTED].
