Neal W. Dickert: I have been a senior Superior Court Judge and have operated Dickert Mediation LLC since July 1, 2020. I served as an active Superior Court Judge for 11 years from 1997 until the end of 2007 and also practiced civil litigation for over 30 years with the firm of Hull, Barrett, both before and after my service on the bench. I have mediated approximately 600 cases in Georgia and South Carolina. I have spoken at a number of CLE programs on mediation, evidence, ethics, trial practice, and similar topics. I am also the author of the “Georgia Handbook on Foundations and Objections” published annually by Thomson Reuters. Mukti Patel: I received my Juris Doctor from DePaul University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 2002 and I have been practicing law in the Augusta area for close to 20 years. I started my legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit. I spent close to 6 years as an ADA and then almost a decade at a local real estate closing firm before opening my practice in 2019. I specialize in contracts, probate, landlord-tenant, general civil litigation, criminal and family law. I am a certified mediator for civil, domestic and domestic violence cases. I have mediated cases in Superior of Richmond, Burke and Columbia County and Magistrate Court of Richmond and Burke County. I also serve as a CHINs prosecutor for Columbia County Juvenile Court. David Roper: Received AB and JD from University of Georgia. Admitted to practice law in 1973. Specialized in complex real estate matters, corporations and nonprofits, estate planning and probate matters, and related litigation. Elected Superior Court Judge. Served from 2007 until 2017. Currently serving as a Senior Superior Court Judge. Scott W. Kelly: Scott is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned his B.B.A. in 1990 and his J.D. in 1993. He has been practicing law for more than 28 years and is “AV” rated in Martindale- Hubbell (highest available peer review rating for attorneys). Scott has served as lead counsel in hundreds of cases involving a wide range of subjects including personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights law, public sector liability, commercial disputes, construction disputes, insurance coverage and subrogation. He recognizes that the value of mediation lies in the parties’ ability to determine their own fate rather than putting it in the hands of another. Glewnia Daniel: After an almost 35-year career in law enforcement, Glewnia Daniel joined DIY Mediations. Her career interminably placed her in positions of trust and confidentiality. Her work history includes almost two years with the Georgia Department of Corrections - Probation Department; over 21 years with Federal Probation and the last 11 plus years employed with Columbia County Sheriff's Office. Glewnia completed an honors program at Agnes Scott College, received an Associate of ---PAGE BREAK--- Science Degree from Atlanta University and her Bachelor's Degree from Georgia State University. She brings wisdom and expertise as a Human Resource Specialist. She excels in background checks, computerized payroll processing and healthcare benefits. Glewnia has extensive training in: client interviews, new hire orientation and processing; data compilation; personnel, background and medical file maintenance; demographic statistics; research and report writing; and specialized training in Active Listening. Reimer: I attended Clemson University and John Marshall Law School, and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1979. Prior to and during law school, I worked in the legal departments of Moss Creek Development Corporation, and Sea Pines Company, in the litigation department of Dowling, Dowling, Novit & Svalina, and in the real estate estate department of Bouhan, Williams & Levy. I was President of the Augusta Bar Association in 1994, and have served on the Judicial Qualifications Committee and the Disciplinary Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. After practicing law for over 40 years, I retired in 2020. I have been a certified mediator in Georgia for two years, and I have formed DIY Mediations, LLC, with my business partner, Glewnia Daniel. Kristina G. Connell: I am a life-long resident of Augusta. I graduated from Augusta Preparatory Day School in 1991, and later graduated Cum Laude from Converse College in 1995 with a double major in Political Science and Biology. I received a Master of Science in Healthcare Policy and Administration from Mercer University in 1997, and I received her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in 2000. I have been practicing law in the Augusta area for 21 years. I was an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit for 14 years; four of those years spent as a Chief Assistant District Attorney. I have been with the Connell Law Firm for the last 7 years. I currently practice domestic, criminal defense and civil law in both State and Federal Courts. I am also a civil, domestic and domestic violence certified mediator in the State of Georgia, and I have mediated cases in the Magistrate and Superior Courts of Richmond, Columbia and Burke County. I am also a member of the Augusta Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. Faircloth: Kim Faircloth, PhD, Owner, Integrated Conflict Solutions, has twenty-five plus years of conflict resolution, professional leadership development, executive coaching, and human resources management experience. She has been a mediator and coach in various settings for over 10 years, teaches mediation, and is a practicing ombudsman. She is a registered neutral in both civil and domestic relations mediation. Richard (Rip) Mehrhof, Jr. Rip was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1950. Educated in the public schools of Fulton County, Georgia. Attended Mercer University Undergraduate and Walter F. George School of Law. He graduated with juris Doctor in May 1975. Mr. Mehrhof practiced with the Law Firm of Allgood & Mehrhof (formerly known as Allgood, Childs 7 Mehrhof) since September of 1975. He has now retired from the active practice of Law and devotes all of his time to Mediations. Madison Jarrard Madison is a registered civil mediator and arbitrator. As a neutral, she specializes in civil cases, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help people across state of Georgia. Madison obtained her Master of Science degree in Bioethics from Columbia University in New York City, where she gained a greater understanding of ethics and health care policies and implications. She also has a Master of Business Administration degree from Piedmont University. Madison's past experience includes several years of governmental, corporate, and non-profit auditing. Currently, she is a professor at a local private college where she teaches undergraduate accounting, leadership, and business courses. Madison strategically applies her knowledge and unique skill set to provide compassionate mediation for her clients. Madison uses a friendly yet fair approach to help clients through the mediation process, and she constantly seeks new learning opportunities to deliver the best solutions she can. David Dekle David Dekle is a trial attorney who has practiced personal injury law in the Augusta area since 1990. After graduating law school at the University of Georgia, David joined the firm now known as Fulcher Hagler litigating automobile accident, premises liability, medical malpractice, and government liability cases on behalf of insurers and local governments. In 2012, he left the firm to start a solo practice applying his time and talents on behalf of injured plaintiffs. His wide array of experience on both the defense and plaintiff sides enables him to see and understand a case from multiple perspectives. David is married to Patricia Dekle, a schoolteacher, and they have five children. David serves as Chairman of the Columbia County Board of Education.
