COLUMBIA COUNTY RESIDENTIAL SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS The Following Items Must Be Submitted As One Complete Package • The Solar Company is required to obtain an Occupational Tax (Business License) with Columbia County, GA. For further information, please call [PHONE REDACTED] or email [EMAIL REDACTED] • The Electrical Contractor is required to obtain an electrical permit. The Electrical Contractor must also be licensed through the State of Georgia and have Business License, Occupational Tax License, Liability Insurance and Bond for Columbia County. For further information, please call [PHONE REDACTED] or email [EMAIL REDACTED] • Completed Columbia County Permit Application. Include Scope of Work and valuation of work (Job Cost). • Homeowners must complete the Homeowner Disclosure Agreement for performing work themselves. • A copy of the customer/solar company contract. • A copy of the application for interconnection to the electrical utility company. • Site plan and Solar panel layout. Include Solar panels/module specifications and plans, with associated equipment specifications and installation instructions (Engineered drawings) • A structural design analysis required by a Georgia Registered Professional Engineer for attachment to the roof. • Electrical Line Diagram (Engineered Drawings) showing all overcurrent protective devices, disconnects, enclosures, inverter, combiner panel, optimizers, any associated enclosures or equipment, wire sizes, type of wiring, size of conduit, labeling for all enclosures, breakers and conduits. Include grounding details for the systems. • Photographs of the existing electrical utility meter and any electrical service disconnects and/or electrical service panels.
