During their swim lessons, children will spend time on the following six levels: • Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it. • Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills. • Level 3: Stroke Development: Additional guided practice will help students improve their skills. • Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their stroke and gain additional aquatic skills. • Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers. The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of the skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no prerequisite. Each level of Learn-To-Swim includes training in basic water safety & helping others in an emergency, in addition to the skills outlined above. ---PAGE BREAK--- Parent Tot 1 AGE: 6 Mo to 1½ Yr. We Can is the only research– and evidence– based comprehensive preschool curriculum with proven, sustainable gains in children’s achievement. We Can includes teacher-led instruction and guided practice with opportunities for productive purposeful play to promote the development of literacy, language, numeracy, and general cognitive, social and emotional functioning. The mission of the Tiny Tots Preschool program is to create a positive, safe, healthy, and nurturing environ- ment for children ages 3-6 to begin their adventure of becoming lifelong learners. Our high quality, early learning program will encourage a sense of independ- ence, confidence and responsibility, and respect for others. Other fine motor skills such as painting, coloring, cutting and gluing will also be explored. Tiny Tots Kindergarten Prep focuses on getting children ready to en- ter Kindergarten. We learn about the world around us through thematic units and centers including math, science, art, dramatic play, games and puzzles, read- ing and writing, songs and finger plays, sensory stations and gym activities.
