What a better way to avoid boredom and over- use injuries than to cross train and mix things up? With triathlon, you can train in multiple disciplines to always be challenged and keep things fun! 2. The Summer Tri is a great introduction to multisport event. The “sprint” includes a 500 meter swim, approximately 13 mile bike ride & a 5K run. 3. A swim in the Rec Center pool! With staggered start times, each swimmer gets their own lane for the 10 lap swim—a great plus for new rac- ers or nervous swimmers - or a wide open lane for you veterans to ger ‘er done! 4. A bike ride on the Greybull HWY, with a wide shoulder, great visibility and moderate hills. Plus, early start times means it won’t be too hot! 5. A relatively flat 5K running loop, including a water station and a loop around a reservoir! 6. The option to compete as an individual, or recruit friends or family to compete as a team! 7. Great prizes to the top finishers in each age category, thanks to sponsor Sports HQ in downtown Cody! 8. Medals for every finisher, thanks to sponsor The Meeteetse Chocolatier! 9. Post-race refreshments furnished by Pepsi, Albertson’s and Peter’s Café. 10. WAHOO You did it! Compete in a triathlon, and you will have competed in three different sports rolled into one. What an accomplish- ment! Check it off your bucket list. Looking for more great events this summer?
