RAINER Commissioner, District 4 Commissioner, District 5 Press Release Contact: Staci Bowick Phone: [PHONE REDACTED] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3:300 p.m. EDT, April 9, 2008 Camden County Participates in Commodity Distribution Woodbine, GA – April 7, 2008: The Board of County Commissioners will be participating in a commodity distribution throughout Camden County during the month of April 2008. The event is coordinated by the Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority which distributes commodities provided by the USDA through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to low income and unemployed households at individually pre-scheduled intervals. The commodities are received directly from a state contracted warehouse through orders placed within the state. Local distributions are conducted at sites that are advertised through public notices to the general public in advance of the distribution date. In Camden County, the distribution sites and dates are Wednesday, April 16th at Mt. Orum Baptist Church located on Mt. Orum Lane in Waverly, Thursday, April 17th at the Community Center located at 205 Camden Avenue in Woodbine, and Friday, April 18th at Greater Trinity United Methodist Church located at 900 Osborne Road in St. Marys. The County is partnering with Kingsland First United Methodist Church’s mission group, Isaiah 6:8, to enhance the efforts of this event. -End-
