The south entrance gate is always open. Non-potable water is provided at hose bibs located throughout the cemetery, and are marked ―Water Unsafe for Drinking.‖ Pails are provided for watering plants and shrubs. Pets are not permitted on the cemetery grounds. Flowers and ground cover planted within 12‖ of a stone are permitted in all but ―Garden Sections‖ and flush markers at head of graves in ―Arbor Glen.‖ Lots may be embellished with trees and shrubs. They must be in harmony with the general landscape design and not interfere with adjacent lots. All plantings and improvements are subject to the approval of the Director of Public Services or persons duly au- thorized. Detailed in this brochure is a list of recommended plantings. Copings, plastic edging and landscape timbers are permitted as long as they do not extend more than 12‖ from the marker. Bark, wood chips or other natural materials except stone are permitted within 12‖ of the marker when confined by edging. Eternal flames must be within 12‖ of a stone. Artificial and cut flowers must be in a suitable container. A ―suitable container‖ is one designed to display plants and flowers, does not rust, nor is easily breakable. Section J (cremation section): Summer decoration is limited to real or artificial flowers in an approved container. Garden Sections (flush markers only): Potted plants and wreaths are permitted when placed on or over top of the marker. Cemetery personnel will remove overgrown or dead plant material upon request of lot owner, or if at anytime material is deemed unhealthy or diseased. There is no charge for this service. Only granite or cut stone (but not marble) from recognized monument quarries or standard bronze may be used for markers and monuments. Summer Decorations: April 1– October 1. Annual flowers and artificial decorations must be removed by October 1 of each year. Winter Decorations: the week of Thanksgiving through April 1. All monuments and markers must be placed on foundations of solid masonry. Except for flush markers, foundations will be constructed 8‖ wider and longer than the marker or monument base to permit a four inch apron. The City shall not be responsible for the damage to lots and struc- tures or objects thereon, or for flowers or articles removed from any lot or grave.
