YEAR END MEETING December 29, 2016 TOWN BOARD OF GENOA The Year-End meeting of the Town Board of Genoa, Cayuga County, State of New York was held at the Town Hall, 1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa NY on December 29, 2016 Present Lorie Sellen-Gross, Supervisor Paul Wheeler Cheryl Shields, Board Member (absent) Don Slocum, Board Member Al Board Member (absent) Brandon White, Board member Sue Moss, Clerk The meeting was called to order at 11 a.m. by Supervisor Lorie Sellen-Gross with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Lorie asked the Board to approve transfers for end-of-the-year payments. RESOLUTION 82-2016 APPROVAL OF GENERAL FUND TRANSFERS On a motion of Board member Slocum, seconded by Board member White, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 3 Sellen-Gross, Slocum, White Nays 0 Resolved that the requested transfers be approved. RESOLUTION 83-2016 APPROVAL OF BILLS On a motion of Board member White, seconded by Board member Slocum, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 3 Sellen-Gross, Slocum, White Nays 0 Resolved to accept the bills as presented. RESOLUTION 84-2016 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF ANY BILLS RECEIVED FOR 2016 On a motion of Board member Slocum, seconded by Board member White, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 3 Sellen-Gross, Slocum, White Nays 0 Resolved to approve the payment of any bills received for 2016. NEW BUSINESS Don reported on the meeting he attended in Syracuse regarding the I-81project. He said there are 2 to 3 options for I-81 but no budget is in place. There will probably be eight to twelve miles of diverted highway which could impact the Town with regard to increased traffic and the project may take five years to complete. Guy Krogh sent in his new agreement as town attorney. His fee remains the same. Lorie informed the Board that there is $2025 left in the Cemetery Fund. It was recommended that the Genoa Historical Association receive $1025 and the Genoa Rural Cemetery receive $1000. RESOLUTION 85-2016 APPROVAL OF CEMETERY FUND DISPERSAL TO GHA and GENOA RURAL CEMETERY On a motion of Board member White, seconded by Board member Slocum, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 3 Sellen-Gross, Slocum, White Nays 0 Resolved to disperse Cemetery Fund monies to GHA and Genoa Rural Cemetery ---PAGE BREAK--- YEAR-END MEETING December 29, 2016 Page 2 The 2017 Organizational meeting is scheduled for January 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Town Hall At this time (11:15), the Board went into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters and salaries. With no further business, on a motion of Board Member Slocum, seconded by Board Member White, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m. Carried unanimously Susan B. Moss, Town Clerk
