LOCAL LAW NO. 1 of 1998 Whereas, Lorie S. Fessenden has served as Records Management Clerk for the Town of Genoa in previous years; and, Whereas, Lorie S. Fessenden has applied for a Records Management Grant for the Town of Genoa during 1997 and such grant has now been authorized by the State of New York; and, Whereas, Lorie S. Fessenden was appointed to the Genoa Town Board on May 22, 1998; and, Whereas, the Town Board of the Town of Genoa finds that she is the best qualified person for the job of Records Management Clerk and to continue in such position; and, Whereas, The Genoa Town Board hereby finds the position of Records Management Clerk to be a position which is not incompatible with the office of Town Board Member; and further finds that it is in the best interest of the Town of Genoa that Lorie S. Fessenden continue to serve as Records Management Clerk. Now, Therefore, be it enacted by the Genoa Town Board as follows: Paragraph One: Lorie S. Fessenden shall not be prevented from continuing to serve as Records Management Clerk for the Town of Genoa, at the pleasure of the Town Board, while serving as a member of the Genoa Town Board based upon incompatibility of office. Paragraph Two: Shall any section, clause, or provision of this Local Law be declared to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the same shall not affect the validity of the Local Law as a whole, or parts thereof, other than the parts so declared to be invalid. Paragraph Three: This law shall take effect immediately.
