Fair Haven Fire Department representatives David James and Dick Bills gave the fire department quarterly report to the Board of Trustees. Both the Fair Haven and Victory fire departments applied together for a FEMA grant. Victory provided the grant writer. The grant was awarded to purchase around 10 Scott Air Packs for each department. The fire department is preparing for the Father’s Day chicken barbeque Sunday June 18th. Mayor Basile asked to have a new generator priced out for the 2008 KMA fire engine as the one that came with it was broken. At this time, there are 38 members with around 15 that are active. Ambulance Supervisor Stan thanked the fire department for their kind treatment towards ambulance personnel. The fire department is still in the process of selling the property across the street. Their attorney is working on a clear title to the property as the previous owner passed away without a will. They are also working on placement of a flag pole. Deputy Mayor Krehling is still obtaining quotes for the resurfacing of the tennis courts. Quotes so far range from $18,000.00 to $24,000.00. The Board will try to budget for this in the 2018-2019 budget. The present ambulance medical director has moved to Ithaca NY making it difficult to obtain authorizations and signatures related to the ambulance service. The Board agreed to name a new medical director, Dr. James Mangano out of Syracuse who will take over these responsibilities beginning in July. Postcards will be sent to all property owners in Fair Haven advising connection to the public sewer is required by October 20, 2017. On a motion by Deputy Mayor Krehling and seconded by Trustee Dunaway permission to install a culvert pipe on Lansing Street to access a proposed pole barn for McDonald Smith was granted. All aye, motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 9:14 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Dunaway and seconded by Trustee Hanford. All aye, motion carried. Minutes respectfully submitted. Terri M.
