TOWN OF NILES PLANNING BOARD Niles Town Hall, New Hope, New York January 18, 2018 MEMBERS PRESENT: Terry Green, Chairwoman Bob DeWitt Sara Finizio, Secretary ABSENT: D’Allah Laffoon Nate Hatfield OTHERS PRESENT: None The meeting was called to order at 7:43 PM. Ms. Green asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. The reading of the November 2017 minutes was waived due to lack of quorum, and will be read at the February 15 meeting. The December 2017 meeting was cancelled due to staff training. NEW BUSINESS: None OTHER DISCUSSION: Ms. Green reviewed the terms for Planning Board members, which are as follows: A. D’Allah Laffoon – Expires 12/31/22 B. Terry Green – Expires 12/31/19 C. Bob DeWitt – Expires 12/31/19 D. Nate Hatfield – Expires 12/31/20 E. Open – Expires 12/31/20 F. Open – Expires 12/31/21 G. Open – Expires 12/31/21 Mr. DeWitt announced that the Skaneateles Lake Association is actively working with the DEC to fight harmful algal blooms in area lakes. A new addition has been created called the Finger Lakes HUB. Those involved are trying to get together a consortium of all the Finger Lakes and have asked for a representative from each town that is affected. Mr. DeWitt has volunteered to represent the Town of Niles. Ms. Green announced that she is the representative of the Town of Niles for the Cayuga County Planning Board. Mr. DeWitt announced he will be out of town for the February 15 meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for February 15, 2018 at 7:30 PM. ---PAGE BREAK--- A motion was made by Ms. Green and seconded by Mr. DeWitt to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 PM. All approved.
