Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Agenda Meeting August 4, 2016 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden, Trustee Judith Dunaway and Trustee Pete Hanford. Also present Village Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio and DPW Superintendent Roger Granatiero. The Board met to discuss the agenda for the August 8th board meeting. In addition to the report DPW Superintendent Granatiero will give Monday night: the signs on the Standbrook Park dock were checked regarding overnight docking; water samples were taken from Fair Point Marina for testing; the International truck is due for inspection and Roger will check with two different garages to have this done; several outdated signs that are no longer needed will be removed when entering the Village limits. Stone work to Village of Fair Haven welcome signs has been completed. Reports of raw sewage in the channel spawned a conversation with the Board regarding the possibilities of installing an RV dumping station at the West Barrier Bar Park. The CCWSA sent a communication regarding grants which may be available for this purpose. The Board concluded there is not a need for a dumping station at the WBB. The Board is continuing to discuss the Village of Fair Haven selling water to the Town of Sterling for approximately 80 customers. Creation of a new water district and establishing water rates has to be addressed. Mayor Basile contacted the Village of Mexico Mayor Terry Grimshaw as the Village of Mexico currently sells water to residents of the Town of Mexico. He would like to have Mayor Grimshaw attend a meeting with the Board of Trustees to explain how they set up the water contract with the Town of Mexico. DPW Superintendent Granatiero recommended the front well pump be pulled and cleaned. Purchasing the Panasonic tough book lap top computer for meter reading in conjunction with the Trimble should also be considered if this is approved. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 9:18 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Webster-Goolden and seconded by Trustee Dunaway. All aye, motion carried. Approved minutes respectfully submitted. Terri M. DiGregorio Clerk-Treasurer
