TOWN OF MENTZ INFORMATIONAL MEETNG PORT BYRON CENTRAL SCHOOL AUGUST 28, 2018 The purpose of this informational meeting is to address concerns over the Manure Lagoon being built on Maiden Lane Road. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Richard Nielens at 7:0 5PM who served as moderator for the meeting. Various members of the panel gave presentations on the Lagoon, the safety and use of the end- product. The Lagoon will be used to store digestate produced by the digester run by CH4 and to be used by Hourigan farms who will inject the digestate manure on land the lagoon is situated on. Jeff LeBlanc of CH4 Generate Cayuga, invited the public to tour the digester to have a better understanding of how the process works. ---PAGE BREAK--- Questions were asked by the audience and answered by the panel along with various comments.
