1 Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Special Meeting August 31, 2016 The meeting began at 6:30 p.m. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden, Trustee Judith Dunaway and Trustee Pete Hanford. Also present Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, Deputy Clerk Johanne Van Der Linden, DPW Superintendent Roger Granatiero, Village Attorney Christopher Palermo and Village of Mexico Mayor Terry Grimshaw. The Board of Trustees met with Village of Mexico Mayor Terry Grimshaw regarding the development of water districts between the Village of Mexico and the Town of Mexico. Mayor Grimshaw stated two water districts or service areas have already been formed and are presently in the process of developing a third. The Board of Trustees was hopeful this information would be beneficial as the Village of Fair Haven is considering selling water to the Town of Sterling. Data will be collected from the water department and office reports to determine the cost to produce water for discussion at the September board meeting. The Board discussed money owed to the Village Ambulance from patients that received a check from their insurance company and did not forward it to MultiMed, the Village’s third party billing company for ambulance billing. Simon’s Collection Agency shows approximately $11,000.00 owed at this time. A request was received from Kera Wasserbach of Looking Glass Events for permission to have fireworks at Colloca Estate Winery at a wedding on September 18th. The Board of Trustees agreed if the paperwork was in order and approved by Code Enforcement Mayor Basile could sign the permit to allow the fireworks display. The Board further discussed the need to come up with a rate of increase for the Town of Sterling ambulance contracts. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Webster-Goolden and seconded by Trustee Dunaway. All aye, motion carried. Approved minutes respectfully submitted. Terri M. DiGregorio Clerk-Treasurer
