1 Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Meeting July 12, 2018 The meeting began at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the July 16th board meeting agenda. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Judith Dunaway and Trustee Hope Wojtowicz and Trustee Christopher Drogi. Also, present DPW Superintendent Roger Granatiero and Village Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio. Sterling Town Highway Superintendent Brian Soper and CCWSA Jay Sawyer were also present. • The Board reviewed the DPW report with Roger Granatiero. The DPW will start to replace and repair catch basins. The Town of Sterling will bring over more mulch for public use. The Town of Sterling will also bring in the Gradall to clean out the ditch on South Lake St. which is connected to the sediment pond. The sediment pond was purchased by the NYS DOT in 2006 when State Route 104A was renovated. Mayor Basile will contact the NYS DOT about the condition of the sediment pond. Wildwood Road is set for paving in the middle of August. The Cayuga County Water Quality Management Agency Guidelines for Municipal Maintenance of Roadside Ditches proposed policy will remain of the agenda for further discussion. The wiring at the popcorn/hot dog stand at Central Park was estimated to cost around $2,600.00 to be updated. The community gardeners are hoping for water access in the garden next year. The DPW will look into running a water line to that point. The water department is currently working on testing water in homes for lead and copper. • Town Highway Superintendent Brian Soper stated the Town water system should be in operation by January of 2019. He also appeared before the Board of Trustees to discuss the Village of Fair Haven ambulance contract with the Town of Sterling as they are planning the budget for 2019. The Town is looking for a 2-year contract with the Village of Fair Haven Ambulance. • The Board reviewed the Code Enforcement report. They are concerned about the Mayville property in the middles of the Village that was once known as the Wash Tub Laundromat and the storage trailers on Stafford St. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board entered into executive session at 9:07 p.m. to discuss collective negotiations pursuant to article fourteen of the civil service law on a motion by Deputy Mayor Krehling and seconded by Trustee Wojtowicz. All aye, motion carried. The Board exited executive session at 9:26 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Wojtowicz and seconded by Deputy Mayor Krehling. All aye, motion carried. No decisions were made during executive session. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 9.27 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Wojtowicz and seconded by Deputy Mayor Krehling. All aye, motion carried.
