VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MAY 29, 2018 · PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Gary Mulvaney called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees Nancy McGuerty, Gary Fickeisen, Chris Fulton, and Anthony Peppe were in attendance. Village Clerk Anne Riddell and Treasurer Susan Wade were also present. · PUBLIC Mayor Gary Mulvaney asked if there was anyone present that wanted to speak that was not on the agenda. No one spoke. · MINUTES A motion was made by Trustee McGuerty, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the minutes for the May 14, 2018 Village Board meeting, as amended. · BILLS A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following bills. · TRANSFERS A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following transfers. From: A1990.4 Contingent To: A1630.4 Office $ 100.00 A1640.4 St. Garage $ 500.00 A8160.4 Refuse Collection $ 150.00 From: G1990.4 Contingent To: G8120.4 Sanitary Sewer $ 600.00 From: Sewer Repair Reserve To: Checking $ 33,403.00 · GLENSIDE WATER/SEWER DISTRICT AGREEMENTS Mayor Mulvaney stated that Town Councilman Joe Gentilcore and Town Councilwoman Terry Palmer agreed to be on the committee to discuss the Glenside Water/Sewer District Agreements. Trustees Nancy McGuerty and Chris Fulton agreed to serve on the committee representing the Village of Moravia. · NEW METER REPLACEMENT Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no update on new water meter installations. · VILLAGE ORDINANCES Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no update from Village Attorney Charles Marangola in the drafting of the law that has been discussed pertaining to Chickens and Livestock. This item was tabled until the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. ---PAGE BREAK--- · SEWER BREAKS AND FLOODING Mayor Mulvaney reported that the sewer break repair on South Main Street has been repaired and that the concrete work was complete. He continued stating that the restoration of the driveways and lawns would be done as soon as possible. · VILLAGE’S WATER/SEWER SYNOPSIS 2017 Mayor Mulvaney reported that there was no news on the Village’s Water/Sewer Synopsis 2017. · DAVIS-ULMER QUOTE (JUSTICE CENTER SPRINKLER SYSTEM) Each of the Trustees received a copy of a quote from Davis-Ulmer for the Village Justice Center’s sprinkler system that needed repair for deficiencies found at the last inspection that was performed. A motion was made by Trustee Fickeisen, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the Davis-Ulmer quote for $895.00 and authorize Mayor Mulvaney to sign the quote after he received clarification pertaining to the Internal Inspection on Dry System (5 year). · DELINQUENT LOAN REPAYMENT ACCOUNTS Each of the Trustees received a copy of the delinquent loan repayment accounts from Treasurer Susan Wade. After some discussion, a motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the Delinquent Loan Repayment Accounts. · EMPLOYEE HIRE (BOWEN) A motion was made by Trustee Fickeisen, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to hire Linwood Bowen effective May 23, 2018 as Part-Time Laborer at $12.50 per hour. · FOUR TOWN AMBULANCE 2018-2019 CONTRACT & RESOLUTION Each of the Trustees received a copy of the Four Town Ambulance 2018-2019 contract. A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 5-0 vote to approve the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board of the Village of Moravia, New York, hereby approves the proposed Agreement between the Village of Moravia, New York, and the Four Town First Aid Squad, Inc., and directs the Village Mayor, Gary D. Mulvaney, to execute the proposed Agreement on behalf of the Village of Moravia, New York. On the table for Board review was: - Four Town Ambulance Squad thank you card to Village of Moravia for the recent donation in memory of Donald Myers.
