VILLAGE BOARD MEETING August 27, 2018 · PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Gary Mulvaney called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees Nancy McGuerty, Gary Fickeisen, Chris Fulton, and Anthony Peppe were in attendance. Village Attorney Charles Marangola and Josh Marnell were also present. Treasurer Susan Wade was Acting Clerk in the absence of Village Clerk Anne Riddell who was off camping in the Adirondacks, drinking wine and having fun. · PUBLIC Mayor Gary Mulvaney asked if there was anyone present that wanted to speak that was not on the agenda. · MINUTES A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the minutes for the August 13, 2018 Village Board meeting. · BILLS A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following bills. · BUDGET MODIFICATION A motion was made by Trustee McGuerty, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following budget modification to reflect the donations received in memory of Nathan Lash. increase A2705 Donations by $ 2,835.00 increase A7110.4 Park by $ 2,835.00 · GLENSIDE WATER/SEWER DISTRICT AGREEMENTS Trustee McGuerty stated that they are scheduled to meet again on September 18, 2018. This item was tabled until the next regular Board meeting after that date. · NEW METER REPLACEMENT Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no report on new water meter installations. · VILLAGE ORDINANCES There was no update on this item. · SEWER BREAKS AND FLOODING Mayor Mulvaney reported that he is waiting for a call back from the National Water Main Cleaning Company about cleaning out North Main Street culvert. He will also ask them to check on Congress Streets storm drains to see if they can be cleaned out also. The Mayor informed the Board that Cayuga County Soil and Water contacted him about coming next week to install a catch basin on North Main Street. ---PAGE BREAK--- · VILLAGE’S WATER/SEWER SYNOPSIS 2017 Mayor Mulvaney updated the Board on the recent repair of two water leaks in Montville. The leak on Adams Street will be repaired tomorrow. Then the Village workers will fix the leak on Skinner Hill by Gentilcores. Mayor Mulvaney asked the Board about having Gumby (Chris Leonard) do the work behind the old firehouse by cutting off the water main under the building and installing a new water line through the parking lot. This would also include taking out the hydrant that is leaking. This job is bigger than the Village men can handle as we don’t have the equipment. The Board was agreeable and wanted an estimate from Gumby to do the work. · MRB GROUP (SEWER USE LAW UPDATE) Mayor Mulvaney informed the Board that MRB Group will be here for a meeting with himself and the STP workers on September 4th pertaining to the Sewer Use Law and what the next step will be. · INFORMATIONAL ITEMS FAMILY HEALTH NETWORK (LETTER) VILLAGE OF MORAVIA PLANNING BOARD MINUTES (07/16/18) LETTER TO CAYUGA COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS (JUSTICE CENTER) TOWN OF MORAVIA MINUTES (05/16 & 06/20/18) (ON TABLE) INVITATION TO RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AT DRIFTERS Mayor Mulvaney informed the Board that New Visions had started installing FIOS cable underground in the Village. Mayor Mulvaney asked the Board what they would like to do with the ’04 Chevy pickup truck at the STP. Estimates to fix the speedometer are around $500. Trustee Peppe offered to take a look at the truck before we began looking for a replacement truck. Josh Marnell asked the Board about a large tree that was leaning over at Fuller Park. Mayor Mulvaney stated that Cranebrook Tree Service inspected the trees when they were here delivering playground mulch. They will be removing three trees from the park. · EXECUTIVE SESSION A motion was made by Trustee McGuerty, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 4-0 vote to enter in executive session at 7:20 pm for contract negotiations with Attorney Marangola attending. A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to exit executive session at 8:22 pm. A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee Peppe and carried with a 4-0 vote to adjourn at 8:23 p.m. Susan B. Wade, Acting Village Clerk
