1 Village of Fair Haven Agenda Meeting March 8, 2018 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, and Trustee Judith Dunaway. Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden and Trustee Pete Hanford were excused. Also, present Village Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, DPW Superintendent Roger Granatiero, DPW employee Carrie Bolton, Deputy Clerk Johanne Van Der Linden, Blair Supply Rep. John Murphy, and Town Councilmen/CCWSA employee Jay Sawyer. • John Murphy with Blair Supply demonstrated the Badger Beacon Mobile AMA cloud-based software to the Board of Trustees and village employees. The Village presently uses Badger Connect software to communicate water meter readings to the Williamson Law Book software to generate water bills. The Badger Connect Software is no longer supported and is very costly when technical support is needed. The Board will consider the cost of the software upgrade at the next budget workshop as the purchase of the new software is extremely costly but is necessary to stay current. • DPW Superintendent Granatiero gave his February report which will be addressed and attached to the March 12th board meeting minutes. • Jay Sawyer with the CCWSA suggested a solution to get rid of the weeds and overgrowth on the south side of the bridge at Vought’s Creek. He suggested hand digging the area out and laying down lake stone to prevent erosion with the assistance of the Cayuga County inmates. • Trustee Dunaway stated she spoke to Erica Ryan with Cayuga County Homesite. They are willing to put together a grant to assist low income households with connection to the public sewer. A list of people who are not connected to the sewer will be submitted to Cayuga County Homesite and they will send letters of notification of the availability of the grant to village homeowners. The Board entered into executive session at 8:23 p.m. to discuss collective negotiations pursuant to article fourteen of the civil service law, on a motion by Trustee Dunaway and seconded by Deputy Mayor Krehling.
