TOWN OF STERLING PLANNING BOARD MEETING March 2, 2017 A regular meeting of the Town of Sterling Planning Board was held on Monday March 2, 2017 at the Sterling Town Hall at 7:00 pm with the following members present: • June Ouellette ~ Chairman • Sue Allen ~ Member • Scott Crawford ~ Member • Paul Kelley ~ Member Excused: Member Vernon Bishop Also Present: 3 people. Chairman Ouellette called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. BUSINESS Erie Enterprises LLC – Case Marshall – Sketch Plan Conference for Special Use Permit – 15051 State Route 104, Sterling (#20.00-1-59) Case Marshall approached the Board and gave them the SEQR form, map and petroleum bulk storage permit. The Planning Board members reviewed the application line by line. A couple of questions regarding the SEQR were asked of the members and answered by Mr. Marshall. Mr. Marshall stated that he was hoping to merge the two properties into one. At this time, the Board decided to hold a public hearing on the special use permit at the April 6th, meeting at 7 p.m. MINUTES A motion to approve meeting minutes for February 6, 2017 was moved by Member Allen and seconded by Member Kelley. All were in favor without further discussion and the motion passed. There was discussion between the Board members regarding the Comprehensive Plan. The Board members thought they would meet with the Village of Fair Haven Planning Board to get their input on any changes. They also discussed speaking with the Historical Society since they had contributed information for the previous plan. Member Kelley and Member Crawford stated they attended training with the Onondaga County Planning Federation Symposium in Syracuse. They found it to be very informative. They stated there is a grant available for communities going green. ADJOURN On a motion by Member Kelley and seconded by Member Crawford, the meeting was adjourned at 7:29 pm.
