1 Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Agenda Meeting May 4, 2017 The Board of Trustees met at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the agenda for the May 8th board meeting. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Judy Dunaway and Trustee Pete Hanford. Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden was excused. Also present, Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, Deputy Clerk Johanne Van Der Linden, Bill McVea and Attorney Norm Chirco. Attorney Norm Chirco introduced himself to the Board of Trustees stating he has been practicing law for 30 years and has represented many towns in the past. He currently represents the Towns of Throop, Springport, Lock, Conquest and the Senate Zoning Board of Appeals. He has represented fire districts in the past and the Village of Fair Haven some 20 years ago. His office is in Auburn and is the only attorney in the office. Mr. Chirco is on a retainer with some Towns and others an hourly basis. The Board briefed him on upcoming projects that he would be consulted on if hired such as updating the zoning and comprehensive plan. A local law on parking needs to be drawn up and the sewer law should be revised regarding distance from the connection. The June 20th Cayuga County Association of Villages meeting will be hosted by the Village of Fair Haven. The featured speaker will be Keith Batman, Chairman of the Cayuga County Legislature. The topic of discussion will be New York State mandated shared services between municipalities. The meeting was adjourned at 8:33 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Dunaway and seconded by Deputy Mayor Krehling. All aye, motion carried Minutes respectfully submitted. Terri M.
