VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MAY 26, 2015 · PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Gary Mulvaney called the meeting to order at 8:59 a.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees Nancy McGuerty, Gary Fickeisen, Chris Fulton and Anthony Peppe were in attendance. Village Clerk Anne Riddell and Treasurer Susan Wade were also present. · PUBLIC TO BE HEARD Mayor Gary Mulvaney asked if there was anyone present that wanted to speak that was not on the agenda. No one spoke. · MINUTES A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the minutes for the May 11, 2015 Village Board Meeting, as amended. · BILLS A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following bills. · TRANSFERS A motion was made by Trustee McGuerty, seconded by Trustee Peppe and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the following transfers. Sec. $ 211.00 · GLENSIDE WATER/SEWER DISTRICT AGREEMENTS Mayor Mulvaney reported that there was no update on the Glenside Water/Sewer District Agreements. · NEW METER REPLACEMENT Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no update on new water meter replacements. · VILLAGE ORDINANCES After some discussion, the review of the Village Ordinances was tabled until the next regularly scheduled Village of Moravia Board of Trustees meeting so that the Trustees could receive an opinion from Officer In Charge Robert Brown pertaining to the no parking on Main Street from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and the Penalties for Offenses. ---PAGE BREAK--- · REQUEST FROM 7TH GRADE MORAVIA CENTRAL SCHOOL Each of the Trustees received a copy of an email from the Moravia Central School requesting permission for the seventh grade students to stencil the storm drains in the Village. A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote approving the Moravia Central School 7th Grade project to stencil the storm drains – “Don’t Dump – Drains to the Lake” on June 10, 2015. · MFD/VFW PARADE A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to approve the MFD/VFW Parade scheduled for July 18, 2015 and to waive the deposit. (Mayor Mulvaney explained the new parade route: beginning at Elementary School to West Cayuga Street to Grove Street, ending at the Fairgrounds.) · VILLAGE JUSTICE REQUEST (ANNUAL CONFERENCE) The Mayor and each of the Trustees received a copy of a letter from Village Justice June Shepardson requesting permission to attend the NYS Magistrates Association’s Annual Conference. A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 4-0 vote to authorize Village Justice June Shepardson to attend the NYS Magistrates Association’s Annual Conference from September 27-30, 2015. Village Clerk Anne Riddell also stated that the Judge’s request for an updated list of the Village’s Local Laws had been sent to her. · INFORMATIONAL ITEMS The Village Board of Trustees each received a copy of the following: - Response letter from Zoning Board of Appeals Chairperson to Curtin & DeJoseph (re: Car Wash). - Village of Moravia Planning Board Minutes (04/20/15). A motion was made by Trustee Fulton, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 4-0 vote to adjourn at 9:56 a.m. Anne Riddell – Village Clerk
