We currently have va- cancies on the following boards: Planning Board, Variance Board and the As- sessment Board. Not only will you be assisting our town on these important boards, you will be compensated for mileage incurred due to trainings. Please contact any Locke Town Board member for more information. J. A copy can be ob- tained from the Locke Town Clerk during her office hours. ---PAGE BREAK--- Locke Flower Group The Locke Flower Group under the direction of Karen Adams works diligently throughout the Spring and Summer on the flower beds at the North and South ends of town as well as at the War Memorial Park. Donations of plants as well as volunteers to keep the plants watered and weeded are always welcome. Please call Karen Adams at [PHONE REDACTED] for more information. Grass and Debris in the streets and roads: Please do not blow grass and other debris onto our streets and roads. Not only does it make our streets and roads look bad, it is illegal per section 214 of the New York State Highway Law. This law states that a person can face fines up to $100 for this action. Page 2 THE KEY TO LOCKE Locke Fireman’s Field Days will be held June 27- 30th. We hope to see you there! Reminder: There is a state burning ban from March 15 - May 15. For more infor- mation go to: http:// www.dec.ny.gov/ press/80920.html Do you have a dog? A reminder to all Locke residents that have dogs harbored within the town. It is re- quired by law to license any dog over the age of four months. A valid rabies certificate is needed to license your dog and cost is $13.00 for unsprayed/unneutered dogs and $5.00 for spayed/neutered dogs. Proof of spay/neuter is also required at the time of licensing. Renewal notices are also sent out as the dog licenses are valid for one year only.
