1 Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Meeting November 9, 2017 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden, Trustee Judith Dunaway and Trustee Pete Hanford. Also, present Village Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, Ambulance Supervisor/Zoning Officer Stan DPW Supervisor Roger Granatiero and Bill McVea. • The Board met to discuss the agenda for the November 13th board meeting. • The door between the meeting room and the garage will be replaced along with the man door in the garage between the 2 bays. The main entrance door into the office will be adjusted. DPW REPORT: All village owned water sources have been winterized; all fire hydrants have been inspected; brush is continually being picked up and the notice of last pick up sent to the local paper; received quote for removal of two trees; will be obtaining quotes for drainage grates; changing trucks over for winter; addition to pump house garage is nearly finished, waiting for doors to be delivered; stump grinding is done for this year (stump on Cottage St. is first on the list for next year); Town of Sterling will assist with plowing if needed this winter; the State Park located and fixed their water leak as soon as it was realized. AMBULANCE REPORT: • Paramedic Ron Nelson has submitted his resignation as he is retiring. • The ambulance service will start using new software for sending PCR’s (patient care reports) electronically. Therefore January 1, 2018 they will switch from Zoll software to EMS Charts. This change will cause a budget increase of approx. $500.00 to $700.00 annually. CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORT: • Zoning Officer is in the process of enforcing the violations 14492 Lake St. • A new more detailed code enforcement report will be submitted at the Monday board meeting. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: • On a motion by Trustee Dunaway and seconded by Trustee Webster-Goolden, the owner of water account A0030 will be contacted to work out a payment plan to pay the balance owed on the October water bill of $1,940.53. These payments can be made or quarterly over the period of one year. The penalty on this amount will be waived and all future billings must be paid in full when due. All aye, motion carried. • Vivian Sciarabba has submitted her resignation from the Planning Board. An advertisement of the vacancy will be placed in the Lakeshore News.
