TOWN OF GENOA LOCAL LAW No. 1 of the year 1983 SECTION I. AUTHORITY This local law is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 18 of State Executive Law, Chapter 707 of the Law of 1981, Section 381, part 2. The Local Law is entitled, Pass Through of Uniform Building and Fire Code Enforcement. SECTION II. PURPOSE This local law is intended to pass onto the County of Cayuga the responsibility for enforcement of the Uniform Building and Fire Code, consistent with the terms of State Law as cited in Section I. SECTION III. On and after January 1, 1984, the municipality shall not undertake the enforcement of the Uniform Building and Fire Code. Such enforcement will be the responsibility of such other levels of government as stated in State Law. SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This Local Law shall take effect immediately. Note: There are spelling and other typographical errors in the document.
