Town of Summerhill Planning Board Meeting October 19, 2017 Town Hall Attending: Barb Harvey, Chair; Brian Stout, Vice Chair; Jeff Ten Eyck, Secretary; Charlie Ripley, Town Supervisor; Christina Ripley, Secretary Absent: Tom Ripley The meeting was called to order with the Pledge to the Flag led by B. Harvey at 7:05 PM. J. Ten Eyck moved to accept the July minutes with edits to Brian’s committee report*, second by B. Stout. Approved unanimously. J. Ten Eyck moved to accept the August minutes with edits to, second by B. Stout. Approved unanimously. There were no meeting minutes for September 21, 2017 as the meeting was cancelled due to lack of quorum. Communications B. Harvey reported on the correspondence to the Board:  The county sent a reminder for the Planning Board Training scheduled for September 21, 2017, Thursday. Rural Land Owners Pros/Cons of Leasing Land for Renewable Energy Development both Solar and/or Wind worth 2 hours of credit. Barb attended in lieu of the town’s meeting. Barb shared the highlights of the presentation. Old Business How should we tally the results of the 2017 Citizens Survey? Discussion was had regarding the groups thoughts on processing it. A general count will start the process and we decide spreadsheet formatting at review of the information shared. Committee Reports B. Stout reported: No report J. Ten Eyck reported: No report New Business A Split Request was proposed by Arthur Meldrum on behalf of Wayne and Barbara Hampton at: 5788 Skinner Hill Road, Tax Map Number: 222.00-01-01.112. An application for Tax Parcel Split, image of Tax Map, Satellite View image of Tax Map and Certified Survey of Portion proposed to be split dated 9/20/17 completed by James J. Denkenberger was submitted to the board for approval. The end goal of the split would be to convey the 4.4 acres over to the Cute’s next ---PAGE BREAK--- door. The neighboring Cute’s would like to eventually like to merge the purchased property into their existing parcel. The documentation presented was reviewed and has been filed to The Summerhill Planning Board Workbook for record keeping. Barb queried the group as to their readiness to vote on the issue that evening. C. Ripley made a motion to vote at this meeting, B. Stout seconded. The Hampton Split was approved by the board with: Ayes: 4; B. Harvey, B. Stout, J. Ten Eyck, C. Ripley Nays: 0 Abstain: 0 A copy of the minutes will be sent to Arthur Meldrum at Walsh Law Firm, 45 Church Street, Cortland, NY 13045.  November 13, 2017 County Planning Board Training /Presentation. Registration for the training can be done online. Motion by B. Stout to adjourn; second by J. Ten Eyck and approved unanimously. Next Planning Board Meeting will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 7:00. Meeting adjourned at 7:37 PM.
