1 Village of Fair Haven Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting June 29, 2017 The Zoning Board of Appeals met at 7:00 p.m. Board members present were Chairman Christopher Drogi, Susan Stanistreet, Paul Fallon and Sharon Basile. Also, present Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, Mayor James Basile and Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling. There was no hearing planned for this meeting. The Board welcomed Sharon Basile as a full-time member and Sharon MacLeod as an altenate. MINUTES: • The May 23rd minutes were revised and approved on a motion by Susan Stanistreet and seconded by Christopher Drogi. All aye, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: • The Board was informed there are pending variance requests that must be fully submitted by July 14th for proper advertising and notification to neighbors. Therefore, the next meeting will be held on July 27th. • A recently revised building permit fee schedule was reviewed by the Board which also included revised variance fees. • The Board agreed to revise the Application to the Fair Haven Board of Appeals to include the following: Survey to show all right-of-way’s. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: • At a hearing held on June 3, 2014 variances were approve to build a 1,482-square foot house on an empty lot located on Fancher Ave. tax map 8.20-1-29. Three hearings were held before the variances were granted. Apparently, the new owners are questioning the square footage and how high they can build. The ZBA revisited this issue in case it comes before them again. • The Board reviewed various examples of signs for placement in the front yard of homeowners who have a scheduled hearing for a variance request. They anticipate proposing 4 signs be ordered. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. on a motion by Chairman Chris Drogi and seconded by Paul Fallon. All aye, motion carried.
