1 Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Meeting February 8, 2018 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present Mayor James Basile, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Holley Webster-Goolden and Trustee Judith Dunaway. Trustee Pete Hanford was excused. Also, present Village Clerk-Treasurer Terri DiGregorio, DPW Superintendent Roger Granatiero, and Jay Sawyer. • The Board met to discuss the agenda for the February 12th board meeting. Before the meeting, two public hearings will be held to discuss passage of Local Law #1 of 2018 and Local Law #2 of 2018. • The Fair Haven Library Trustee’s Meeting minutes reflected they are looking for a librarian. • Trustee Dunaway spoke with a Cayuga County Planning representative that stated if Fair Haven had enough low-income people that couldn’t afford to connect to the public sewer, they would put together a grant for that purpose. Connection to the sewer is pertinent to the NYSDEC lifting the consent order. • DPW Superintendent Granatiero gave the following report: quotes for upgrades to the tennis courts have been obtained; a tool inventory had been conducted and a copy will be given to the office for filing; discussed painting the floor in the public restrooms; upgrades to the back of the garage are being considered with possible assistance from the inmates at the county jail; drawings of the snowplow route were submitted and discussed; Bill Ferguson was recently certified and now holds a class D water license, he will attend class in the fall for his class B license; discussed a possible skating rink for next winter. • Mayor Basile requested the members of the Architectural Review and Beautification committee be contacted to find out if they are still interested in remaining on the committee. The Mayor would like two Trustees to meet with those that are interested at 6:00pm on March 1st before the budget workshop. On a motion by Trustee Dunaway and a second by Deputy Mayor Krehling, the Board entered into executive session at 9:08 p.m. to discuss collective negotiations pursuant to article fourteen of the civil service law. All aye, motion carried. On a motion by Trustee Webster-Goolden and a second by Trustee Dunaway, the Board exited executive session at 9:27 p.m. All aye, motion carried. No decisions were made during executive session. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 9:28pm on a motion by Trustee Dunaway and a second by Deputy Mayor Krehling. All aye, motion carried.
