TOWN OF GENOA, CAYUGA COUNTY, NEW YORK LOCAL LAW NUMBER 1 OF 2014 A local law to adopt a date for meeting of the Board of Assessment Review Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of GENOA as follows: A Local Law for the Town of Genoa who employs an appointed Assessor who is employed by other assessing units, to adopt a date for meeting of the Board of Assessment Review other than that provided in Subdivision 1 of section 512 of the New York State Real Property Tax Law. Date for the Board of Assessment Review to review complaints in relation to assessments: 1. The Board of Assessment Review shall meet to hear complaints in relation to assessments commencing on the 1st Tuesday following the 4th Tuesday in May. 2. This Local Law shall remain in effect until rescinded or superseded by subsequent Local Law. 3. This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the office of the Secretary of State, and with the State Board of Assessment Review and the County Real Property Tax Services.
