VILLAGE BOARD MEETING JANUARY 22, 2018 · PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Gary Mulvaney called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees Gary Fickeisen, Chris Fulton, and Anthony Peppe were in attendance. Village Clerk Anne Riddell, Treasurer Susan Wade, and The Citizen Reporter Megan Ehrhart were also present. (Trustee Nancy McGuerty was absent.) · PUBLIC Mayor Gary Mulvaney asked if there was anyone present that wanted to speak that was not on the agenda. No one spoke. Mayor Mulvaney, the Trustees, Village Clerk Anne Riddell, and Treasurer Susan Wade introduced themselved to Ms. Ehrhart. Mayor Mulvaney welcomed her to the meeting. · MINUTES A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 3-0 vote to approve the minutes for the January 8, 2018 Village Board meeting. · BILLS A motion was made by Trustee Fickeisen, seconded by Trustee Peppe and carried with a 3-0 vote to approve the following bills. · GLENSIDE WATER/SEWER DISTRICT AGREEMENTS Mayor Mulvaney reported that there was no news on the Glenside Water/Sewer District Agreements. · NEW METER REPLACEMENT Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no update on new water meter installations. · VILLAGE ORDINANCES Mayor Mulvaney reported that the Village is waiting for a response from the Village of Moravia Zoning Board of Appeals. (He noted that the Village of Moravia Planning Board had no objections concerning the proposed Zoning Amendment that was drafted by the Board of Trustees.) This item was tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting. · SEWER BREAK AND FLOODING Each of the Trustees received a copy of a letter from the NYSDEC pertaining to the South Main Street sewer line replacement project to be done this spring and also an email from the MRB Group. This item was tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting. · GOODNOUGH PROPERTY (SKINNER HILL ROAD) Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no news on the Goodnough property on Skinner Hill Road. This item was tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting. · RIGHT OF WAY (20 EAST CAYUGA STREET) ---PAGE BREAK--- Mayor Mulvaney stated that there was no news on the right of way located at 20 East Cayuga Street. This item was tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting. · EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION (TAGLIAVENTO) Employment Application on the table from Cayla Tagliavento for Part-Time Cleaner was accepted and placed on file by a motion from Trustee Fulton and seconded by Trustee Peppe and carried with a 3-0 vote. A motion was made by Trustee Fickeisen, seconded by Trustee Fulton and carried with a 3-0 vote to hire Cayla Tagliavento for Part-Time Cleaner at the rate of $15.00/hour effective January 22, 2018. · INFORMATIONAL ITEMS Each of the Trustees received a copy of the following: - Village’s Water/Sewer Synopsis for 2017 prepared by Treasurer Susan Wade. (It was noted that there was a 52% loss of water in 2017. The Board requested Mike Perkins of the Department of Public Works to attend the February 26, 2018 Board meeting to discuss this further.) - CHIPS notification. - Letter to Village property owner (re: debris at the curb). - The Citizen news article pertaining to FEMA funding for 2017 floods in Cayuga County. - Letter to Village property owner, Gary Debele, pertaining to receiving water service at 48 Church Street. A motion was made by Trustee Peppe, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 3-0 to adjourn at 7:18 p.m. Anne Riddell, Village Clerk
