TOWN OF NILES PLANNING BOARD Niles Town Hall, Niles, New York June 15, 2017 MEMBERS PRESENT: Terry Green, Chairwoman D’Allah Laffoon Bob DeWitt Sara Finizio, Secretary ABSENT: Bill Stinson Nate Hatfield OTHERS PRESENT: Buddy Barrette, Patrick Murray, Edith Barrette, Nate Eberhardt, Barb Eberhardt, Bill Kane, Noel Byrne The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM. Ms. Green asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Sara Finizio read the May 2017 minutes. Mr. Laffoon made a motion to accept the minutes as amended and Mr. DeWitt seconded the motion. All approved. NEW BUSINESS: N/A OTHER DISCUSSION: • Patrick Murray and Buddy Barrette voiced concerns to the Planning Board regarding new ownership of the business known as Frozen Ocean Moto-Cross Park located at 4415 Vanderstouw Road, Auburn, NY. Mr. Barrette presented a Statement of Facts drawn up by Niles residents who are concerned about the impact the business might have on area neighbors. Planning Board members listened to the specific topics related to their concerns and offered possible options to resolve these matters. The group was also informed that a thorough review of the Moto-Cross’s permits, licenses and codes were done by the Town Board, Planning Board and Code Enforcement Officer. No violations were found. • Noel Byrne approached the Planning Board with a concern about a possible split or merger that could involve a questionable right of way on his property. The next meeting is scheduled for July 20, 2017 at 7:30PM. A motion was made by Mr. Laffoon and seconded by Mr. DeWitt to adjourn the meeting at 9:45PM. All approved.
