TOWN OF SUMMERJILL Special Board Meeting- Code Enforcement Officer June 19, 2018 Town Board Members Present: Susan Stout, Supervisor Christopher Ryan, Councilman Duane Reynolds, Councilman Daniel Ripley, Councilman (late) Mary Osgood, Councilwoman Town Board Members Absent: None Other Officers Present: None Residents: Linda Plunkett Visitors: None Guest: Brandy Wright, Gary Malek, Harold Gilfus. Recording Secretary: Carol Chase The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Susan Stout. All stood for the pledge to the flag. A. Executive Session: Motion 61-2018 Susan Stout made a motion to go into Executive Session at 7:02 pm for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the Code Officer position, seconded by Duane Reynolds Carried 4 ayes Stout, Reynolds, Ryan, Osgood. 0 nays Motion 62-2018 Chris Ryan made a motion to come out of Executive Session at 8:10pm, seconded by Duane Reynolds. Carried 5 ayes Stout, Ryan, Reynolds, Osgood, Ripley 0 nays Motion 63-2018: Chris Ryan made a motion to hire Harold Gilfus, seconded by Susan Stout. Carried 5 ayes Stout, Ryan, Reynolds, Osgood, Ripley. 0 nays Motion 64-2018: Duane made a motion to purchase 2 flash drives and a computer that has excel, seconded by Chris Ryan. Carried 5 ayes Stout, Ryan Reynolds, Osgood, Ripley 0 nays B. Memorial Trees: Florence’s family purchased a tree to be planted in her honor at the Fillmore Site. The clerk is asking the board to purchase a second tree in honor of Patty McCloy and to plant it at the Fillmore Site. She would also like to purchase plaques to go at the bottom of the trees. ---PAGE BREAK--- Motion 65-2018: Dan Ripley made a motion to purchase another tree, the plaques and to have Scott Badman plant them and monitor them until they are established, seconded Chris Ryan. Carried 5 ayes Stout, Ryan, Reynolds, Osgood, Ripley 0 nays The next Board meeting the board would like a copy of the bid packet. Chris will call Little Beaver for a quote. We need to find out if they can be paid contractually. Adjournment Motion 19-2018 Mary Osgood made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Duane Reynolds.
