Village of Fair Haven Board of Trustees Special Meeting November 19, 2018 The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. to discuss zoning matters and the addition to the Village Hall. Board members present: Mayor James Basie, Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling, Trustee Judy Dunaway, Trustee Chris Drogi and Trustee Hope Wojtowicz. Also present, Village Deputy Clerk Johanne Van Der Linden. 11 guests were present. • The Mayor first invited Mr. Viele to speak. Mr. Viele said that he was not building a campground. He does have a camper on his second property, which he rented at times, but will not be renting it again, as he has been told that he cannot do that. His goal is to build a cabin for his father at the top of the property. • Camping Trailers & RV’s: Discussed review of a local law regarding camper(s) and or RV’s within the Village of Fair Haven. Copy of the “Recreational Vehicles and Campers” local law was sent to the Village Attorney for review. • Length of Building Permits: Discussed shortening the number of renewals one can obtain. How can we revise the process on local zoning for completion of exterior finishes on open construction permits? How do other towns do it? Could our Code Enforcement Officer consult with other CEOs regarding this matter. Also ask our CEO and Village Attorney to include language in our building permit renewal regarding exterior shells to be completed first. • LED Streetlight update: The Board members reviewed the information sent from Amanda of NYSERDA regarding the LED streetlights. Board did agree that the Mayor should continue pursuit of LED Street lighting change out. No decision made yet. • The Board looked at the plans for a new addition to the Village Hall. The Board agrees that this design is too costly. Mayor Basile and Trustee Drogi have other ideas and will work on some possible options on the layout of the existing building space and new space which may provide a more affordable plan. Another special meeting will be set up to discuss further. • Larry Cosser, Planning Board Chairman, gave his resignation as Chairman. He still wants to stay as a member. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Wojtowicz and seconded by Trustee Dunaway. All aye, motion carried. Unapproved minutes respectfully submitted. Johanne Van Der Linden Deputy Clerk
