B 6 South St. The Swaby Building Built ca. 1830 The Swaby Building was built in the Federal style, and once served as the home of the “International Beauty School.” C 16 South St. The Auburn Schine’s Theater Built 1938 Designed in the Art Deco style, the Auburn Schine’s Theater’s interior is designed with a celestial theme, featuring shooting stars and planets. D 24 South St. Memorial City Hall Built 1929 The “New” City Hall was a gift to the city from the Osborne family in memory of former Mayor David Munson Osborne. E 66 South St. Built ca. 1830 This home was built in the Federalist Style. It was once home to James A. Seymour, founder of McIntosh and Seymour, which eventually grew to become American Locomotive Co. G 108 South St. The Case Mansion Built 1929-31 This Tudor style mansion was built by Theodore Case, inventor of sound film. H 180 South St. Harriet Tubman Home for the Aged This property was home to Harriet Tubman until her death in 1913. It is currently operated as a museum. I 123 South St. Built 1915 This unique building was constructed using Mission Style elements. It was once the home of D. E. French, a local businessman and philanthropist. J 115 South St. Built 1885 This building is the last remaining home designed by Julius Schweinfurth. It was home to Thomas Mott Osborne, former mayor of Auburn and prison reformer. K 85 South St. Built 1882 Built in the Queen Anne style, this building was once home to Charles McCarthy, founder of Dunn and McCarthy Shoes. L 65-63 South St. King and Queen’s Court Built 1914 and ca. 1934 These two large homes were built by the Fay family of Auburn. The Fays were wealthy local financiers. M 33 South St. The Seward Mansion Built 1816-17 Built in the Federal Style, this building was home to William H. Seward, Governor, Senator and Secretary of State.
