TOWN OF NILES PLANNING BOARD Niles Town Hall, New Hope, New York February 15, 2018 MEMBERS PRESENT: Terry Green, Chairwoman D’Allah Laffoon Nate Hatfield Sara Finizio, Secretary ABSENT: Bob DeWitt OTHERS PRESENT: Mark Wellauer, Chad Matijas The meeting was called to order at 7:25 PM. Ms. Green asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Sara Finizio read the November 2017 minutes. Mr. Hatfield made a motion to accept the minutes as read and Mr. Laffoon seconded the motion. All approved. Sara Finizio read the January 2018 minutes. Mr. Laffoon made a motion to accept the minutes as read and Mr. Hatfield seconded the motion. All approved. NEW BUSINESS: Mark Wellauer approached the Planning Board for preliminary approval of a minor subdivision of 1.993 acres of land from a 4.493 acre parcel to Joseph Collard. Property located at 4303 Harter Road, Auburn, New York. Tax map #155.00-1-8-1. Due to the subdivision being under the 2 acre minimum required by the Town of Niles, a merger request from Joseph Collard must be received adding the 1.993 acres to his existing parcel. Mr. Wellauer also plans to merge 0.519 acres from Mr. Collard to his residential property of 2.5 acres. A subdivision from Mr. Collard is needed for final approval. o Forms received: Application for Subdivision Short Environmental Assessment Form Parcel Merger Survey Map A motion was made by Mr. Hatfield and seconded by Mr. Laffoon for preliminary approval. All approved. Chad Matijas approached the Planning Board for final approval of a minor subdivision of 10 acres of land from an 85 acre parcel. Property located at 3685 Bear Swamp Road, Moravia, New York. Tax map #168.00-1-18.1. The 10 acres will include the residence and outbuildings, the 75 acres are for agricultural use. ---PAGE BREAK--- o Forms received: Application for Subdivision Short Environmental Assessment Form ( Negative declaration) Survey Map A motion was made by Mr. Hatfield and seconded by Mr. Laffoon for final approval. All approved. NEW BUSINESS: Ms. Green announced that the Town of Niles code books will be updated at the next meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2018 at 7:30 PM.
