Septic System Record Locator The Cayuga County Health Department maintains information regarding septic system design, installation, and inspection. It is our sincere effort to always provide prompt, courteous attention to all requests for any of these records. There are approximately 16,000 septic systems in Cayuga County. We are in the process of scanning in our many documents so that this information can be found electronically via our website. We have not yet completed this task, however we do have many records now available through the Septic Locator program. Using Septic Locator, you can find the property you are interested in. A green dot on the property indicates that some records have been scanned in for this parcel. Click on the question mark in the upper right hand corner if you need more help in navigating this site. If we have records of the septic system installation for this property in our files, we have scanned that information in here. For septic systems for which we have no installation information, we have scanned in a portion of an inspection report that was submitted by a certified septic system inspector for this property. The documents provided herein could include inaccuracies or errors.
