BUDGET WORK SESSION, TOWN BOARD OF GENOA October 28, 2015 A budget work session of the Town Board of Genoa, Cayuga County, State of New York was held at the Town Hall, 1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa NY on October 28, 2015 Present Lorie Sellen-Gross, Supervisor Cheryl Shields, Board Member Don Slocum, Board Member (absent) Brandon White, Board Member Al Board Member Sue Moss, Clerk The session was called to order at 7 p.m. by Supervisor Lorie Sellen-Gross with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Board members reviewed several budget lines still in question as no confirmed 2016 health insurance nor workers comp insurance quotes have been received. Continued discussion took place on the proposed preliminary budget until 7:30 p.m. Discussed the temporary hire of Nancy Niswender as the bookkeeper to the Town Supervisor while Bonnie Johnson is on leave. RESOLUTION 58-2015 APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY BOOKKEEPER HIRE On a motion of Board member Shields, seconded by Board member the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 4 Sellen-Gross, White, Shields, Nays 0 Resolved that the temporary bookkeeper hire be approved RESOLUTION 59-2015 APPROVAL OF PART-TIME BUILDING CARE On a motion of Board member seconded by Board member White, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 4 Sellen-Gross, White, Shields, Nays 0 Resolved that Kristine Marsh be hired as part-time building care. Shared information on the Fire District insurance increase with Brandon so he can take it back to Genoa Fire Department. The Water Committee met on 10/21 to review RFQ’s that were received from 7 different engineering companies. They chose 4 companies to seek RFP’s and are: Hunt, TG Miller, L&D, and LaBella. Michelle Baines from Cayuga County Water and Sewer Authority will start working on the RFP's and Mick will meet with her on 10/30 to discuss this further. ---PAGE BREAK--- BUDGET WORK SESSION October 28, 2015 Page 2 RESOLUTION 60-2015 APPROVAL OF SEEKING RFP’S FROM AFOREMENTIONED COMPANIES On a motion of Board member Shields, seconded by Board member White, the following resolution was ADOPTED Ayes 4 Sellen-Gross, White, Shields, Nays 0 Resolved to seek RFPs from the aforementioned companies.
