TOWN OF NILES PLANNING BOARD Niles Town Hall, New Hope, New York March 15, 2018 MEMBERS PRESENT: Terry Green, Chairwoman D’Allah Laffoon Bob DeWitt Sara Finizio, Secretary ABSENT: Nate Hatfield OTHERS PRESENT: None The meeting was called to order at 7:37 PM. Ms. Green asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Sara Finizio read the February 2018 minutes. Mr. Laffoon made a motion to accept the minutes as read and Mr. DeWitt seconded the motion. All approved. NEW BUSINESS: None OTHER DISCUSSION: • Ms. Green reviewed the 2018 Land Use Training Series schedule that is presented by the Cayuga County Planning Board. Ms. Green advised the members that the “Planning Issues for Waterfront Communities” segment has been rescheduled for March 28, 2018, to be held at the Cayuga – Onondaga BOCES. Ms. Green also recommended that the Planning Board members attend the “Site Plan Review” segment scheduled for August 15, 2018, also to be held at the Cayuga – Onondaga BOCES. • Mr. DeWitt reviewed the work that the Lake Association is doing with the DEC, noting that they are putting together a 9 element plan for watershed protection. The next meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2018 at 7:30 PM. A motion was made by Mr. DeWitt and seconded by Mr. Laffoon to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 PM. All Approved.
