City of Campbell SOCIAL SERVICE SUBGRANTS APPLICATION INFORMATION Required 1. Subgrant Application Submissions: 2. Annual Financial Statement (most current) Submit to: City Manager’s Office Attn: Sherrie Doherty City of Campbell 70 N. First St. Campbell, CA 95008 Filing Deadline: Generally, in January of each year. Public Hearings: Civic Improvement Commission (CIC): Generally held 2nd Thursdays of March and April, two public hearings at 7:30 pm in the City Council Chamber, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, CA City Council: Generally held during the City Council’s regular meeting, first or 3rd Tuesday evening in May at the same venue as the CIC Public Hearing address referenced above. The Civic Improvement Commission is responsible for reviewing subgrant requests, holding a subgrant hearing, and making funding recommendations to the City Council. The City Council, in turn, provides authorization for subgrant allocations in the budget approval process. Special Notice: • The Civic Improvement Commission discourages applications from agencies whose programs are available to only specific ethnic groups or serve only clients of a particular national origin. • The Civic Improvement Commission generally does not recommend new funding for agencies whose programs are duplicative of currently funded programs. • Preference will be given to programs that meet the needs of Campbell residents and which are not already being provided by the City through an existing program or service.
