Cancellation of November 6, 2012 Election and Appointment of Nominated Candidates Following the close of the nomination period on August 10, 2012, there were not more candidates than offices to be elected for the November 6th general municipal election. At a Special Meeting on August 21, 2012, the City Clerk provided Certification of these facts to the Campbell City Council. Pursuant to §10229 of the California Elections Code, the Council adopted Resolution 11452 cancelling the November 6, 2012 Election and appointed the nominated candidates, Jason Baker and Michael F. Kotowski, to the City Council, who shall take office and serve exactly as if elected at a municipal election for the office of City Councilmember. The appointed candidates will be sworn in at the regular Council Meeting of December 4, 2012.
