REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Social Media/Public Relations Services FOR Butte Economic Development Coordinating Council June 15, 2015 ---PAGE BREAK--- 2 The Butte Economic Development Coordinating Council (BEDCC), through the Integrated Marketing Group, seeks statements of qualifications from qualified and experienced public relations/social media experts to conduct a marketing campaign for a term of 6 months for the communities of Butte-Silver Bow and southwest Montana. Qualified individuals are expected to have demonstrated knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vine, Press Release/Technical writing and editing and some graphic design knowledge, preferably proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. All materials and accounts created will be the property of the BEDCC . A detailed project description is attached. Statement of qualifications will be accepted until: 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time) June 30, 2015 At the Office of Butte-Silver Bow Community Development First Floor, Room 111, Courthouse Building 155 West Granite Street Butte, Montana 59701 Please submit five copies of your statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications must contain the following information: I. Provide qualifications related to the following items; A. Provide a resume of related experience and examples or links to your work, including project management skills, writing and interviewing experience, graphic design experience and social media campaigns. II. Demonstrate your ability to do the work in the time frame given with available manpower and equipment, taking into account present and projected workload. III. References: List all of your clients from the past two years for projects that deal with similar work as proposed. A. Include client name, contact person and phone number. B. Describe type of project. Project Schedule The BEDCC’s schedule for this project is based on six months from a date certain. Legal Compliance ---PAGE BREAK--- 3 Consultants performing work under the proposed contract will be subject to Governmental Code of Fair Practices, Title 49, Chapter 3, MCA (Non-Discrimination in Hiring); and Title 49, Parts 21 (Non-Discrimination in Federal Programs), and 23 (Participation Assurances for Disadvantaged Businesses) CFR Assurances (Title VI). Statement of Qualifications Ratings All statement of qualifications will be evaluated in accordance with the following factors, which will be weighted in accordance with the indicated percentages: 30% 1. Location of Business 30% 2. Quality of Individual or Firm a. Related experience on similar projects. b. Qualifications, experience and training of individual or firm 20% 3. Capacity and capability of firm: a. Capacity to meet time requirements. b. Capability to meet project requirements. 20% 4. Record of past performance on previous projects, reference checks. Following the review and evaluation of all qualifications, the list of interested firms may be narrowed to a short list for an interview. Accordingly the BEDCC reserves the right to negotiate an agreement based upon fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed, as well as the right to reject any and all submittals and to accept the submittal deemed to represent the best interests of the BEDCC. ---PAGE BREAK--- 4 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Butte Economic Development Coordinating Council (BEDCC), through the Integrated Marketing Group, seeks statements of qualifications from qualified and experienced public relations/social media experts to conduct a marketing campaign for a term of six months for the communities of Butte-Silver Bow and southwest Montana. Qualified individuals are expected to have demonstrated knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vine, Press Release/Technical writing and editing skills and some graphic design knowledge. All materials and accounts created will be the property of the BEDCC. The deliverables for this project include the following: Press Releases including gathering information through interviews and writing a press release in a generally accepted press release form. Press Release gathering from other BEDCC partners and other entities in the region with positive news to share. Proficiency in and access to the Adobe Creative Suite of software, the current marketing materials (Butte.Elevated) are in a flexible format that may at times need to be reformatted for various publishing purposes. Social Media knowledge specifically of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Accounts for each of these platforms will need to be created and then managed for the duration of the contract. Original posts will need to be created with input from the Integrated Marketing Group and other BEDCC partners for example a weekly.bi weekly Top Ten List of positive things going on in the region. The desired outcome of this project is to create a comprehensive public relations/social media campaign for Butte and southwest Montana that highlights the good things that are happening in the region.
