DRAFT VISION STATEMENT Central Butte Planning Area October 22, 2010 WHAT IS VISION? What do you want to be? What do you value most about your neighborhood? What is the one thing, you think everyone in the neighborhood needs to believe? Vision statements identify broad principles upon which the neighborhood plan is based. It represents values that the neighborhood deems as important enough to preserve for future generations. It describes the neighborhood’s desired character, key features and amenities. SUGGESTED CENTRAL BUTTE VISION (2nd Draft): The Central Butte neighborhood planning area consists of several historic neighborhoods that are evolving in a 21st century economy. Demographically diverse, the neighborhoods have a sustainable mix of business and residential uses. Part of the National Historic Landmark District, residential properties are safe and affordable; commercial properties are rehabilitated and occupied. The planning area’s neighborhoods have quality outdoor spaces that contribute to a desirable quality of life for all.
