Burley WWTP Chemical Building 00 11 16-1 Project No. 05-18-0019 Invitation to Bid Forsgren Associates, Inc. 1 SECTION 00 11 16 2 INVITATION TO BID 3 4 RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids for construction of the Burley WWTP Chemical Building will be 5 received by City of Burley, 1401 Overland Ave, Burley, ID 83318, until Tuesday, March 10, 6 2020, at 11:00 AM (local time) and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. 7 8 OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be 9 obtained beginning Tuesday, February 11, 2020 by contacting the ENGINEER. Contract documents 10 will only be available electronically, and will be available at no charge to bidders. Hard copy copies 11 of the documents will not be available. 12 13 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The complete work is for the construction for the new Chemical 14 Building at the WWTP. The work includes but is not limited to, the construction of new Chemical 15 Building, including all civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work 16 required therein. 17 18 PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A pre-bid conference site visit will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 19 2020, at 11:00 AM at Burley WWTP, 401 Hiland Avenue, Burley ID 83318. Representatives of 20 the OWNER and the ENGINEER will be present to discuss the project. 21 22 BID SECURITY: Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by Bid 23 Security in the form of a certified cashier's check or a corporate bid bond executed on the prescribed 24 form, payable to City of Burley in the amount of five percent of the amount bid. The 25 Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount 26 not less than 100% of the contract price. 27 28 ADDRESS AND MARKING OF BID: The envelope enclosing the bid shall be sealed and 29 addressed to City of Burley and delivered or mailed to 1401 Overland Ave, Burley, ID 83318. The 30 envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the 31 bidder and shall bear the words "Bid for," followed by the Project title per the Contract Documents 32 and the date and hour of opening of bids. The certified or cashier’s check, money order, or bidder's 33 bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the bid. Refer to Section 00 21 13 - “Instructions to 34 Bidders” for additional submittal requirements. 35 36 PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids 37 shall be directed to the ENGINEER for the project, and all questions shall be in writing. It shall be 38 understood, however, that no interpretations of the documents will be made by telephone.
