Don’t leave recyclables in bags and NEVER put plastic bags in recycling bins. ™ For additional information about the City of Bristol, Tennessee’s recycling program, please call (423) 989-5685. The City of Bristol, Tennessee is proud to assist residents in reducing the amount of household waste that gets sent to the landfill by providing recycling bins at convenient locations throughout the City. Each year, nearly 800 tons of paper, plastic, and cardboard are collected at these locations and recycled to be used again. Unfortunately, sometimes items that don’t belong find their way into our recycling bins. Please help us RECYCLE RESPONSIBLY by ensuring that items not included on the list of accepted recyclables - items like plastic grocery and trash bags, household trash, garden hoses, glass jars, metal cans, old tires, and construction materials - are never placed in recycling bins.
