Parks & Recreation Rules  It is unlawful to apply graffiti to the prop- erty of another within the City and/or to assist or participate with others in the application of graffiti  Person convicted of this violation are sub- ject to Community Service (24 hours for each offense) which will be dedicated exclusively to the removal of graffiti.  The Court shall impose the maximum fine allowed by the Code and at least forty- eight (48) hours of community service, in addition to any jail sentence imposed by the Court, upon any person convicted three or more times of a graffiti viola- tion. Graffiti is ANY marking, symbol, slogan, logo, wording, phrase, name or other extraneous drawing applied to buildings, fences, side- walks, vehicles or other similar objects. Happy Tails Dog Park Rules 1. Dogs must be leashed when entering and leaving the enclosure. 2. Adult owners/custodians must be present within fenced enclosure at all times. 3. No children under six are allowed within the enclosure. 4. The owner/custodian assumes the legal responsibility for any damage, disease, injury to person, other dogs or property caused by his/her dog. 5. All adult owners/custodians are responsible for immediately cleaning up and properly disposing of dog excrement. 6. Park site will be open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week. The following shall not be allowed in the Dog Off- Leash Park: ~ Aggressive / Vicious dogs ~ Dogs too young to vaccinate against rabies. ~ Dogs in season. ~ Dogs that are ill or exhibiting signs of illness. ~ Dogs not under voice command. Brighton Animal Control—(303) 655-2091 Police Dispatch—911 or (303) 655-2300 Parks Maintenance—(303) 655-2054 City of Brighton 500 S. 4th Avenue Brighton, CO 80601 Parks Maintenance: [PHONE REDACTED] Recreation Center: [PHONE REDACTED] Administrative Office: [PHONE REDACTED] ---PAGE BREAK--- The following rules and regulations shall apply to all parks and park facilities within the City, and it shall be unlawful for any person to violate any of these rules or regulations. * All parks open 5:00 am. to 10:00 p.m. daily. * Parks closed to all vehicles, including campers and motor homes, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. without the written permission of the Parks and Recreation Director * Disorderly conduct prohibited. * Alcohol shall be allowed in public parks only during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. *Private notices or advertisements shall not be posted, distributed or displayed on park property without the express written permission of the Parks & Recreation Director. * No park or park facility shall be used for such activities as dunk tanks, hot air balloons, carnivals, catering services, festivals or other activities which require the use of tents, awnings or rented shelters unless: 1. A written request for such use is submitted to the Parks and Recreation Director and the Parks and Recreation Director has given written approval for such use. 2. The park, or portion thereof, has been properly reserved according to City Policy 3. The reservation fee has been paid. 4. A license (if applicable) has been properly applied for and issued. * Licensed Motorized Vehicles of all types are permitted only on improved roads and designated parking areas. * Firearms, explosives, slingshots, bows and arrows and other weapons (including BBs, eggs, pellets, darts, snowballs, and stones) are prohibited in parks and facilities at all times. *Golfing is not allowed in a park, unless otherwise posted. (Does not apply to Disc Golf.) * No Glass containers of any kind * No person shall commit any act in a park or park facility which would endanger the health, safety or welfare of himself or herself or other park users * No person, or association shall engage in or solicit business within the park without the express written authorization of the Parks and Recreation Director. * No pets shall be allowed in a park or park facility unless restrained and controlled by a leash no longer than six feet. Pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of properly. * The use of amplified music, load speakers and public address systems prohibited without permission of the Parks and Recreation Director * Garbage shall be disposed of by placing in the containers provided. * Horseback riding not permitted in parks or on park pathways or trails. * Fires are restricted to designated areas of the park where permanent grills are provided. The City of Brighton has a variety of shelters available for reservation as well as first come first served shelters. Park Shelters may be reserved May through September every season. Reservations may be made beginning in January of that year. Reservations required for parties of 25 or more. Please call [PHONE REDACTED] for additional information or to reserve a park shelter. Parks and Park Facilities Rules and Regulations: Brian Aragon Skate Park Rules and Information Skate Park Open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. • Use of Skate Park is at Your Own Risk (Common sense and good judgment expected.) • Safety equipment is Strongly Recommended while skating. • Skate Park is for skateboarders roller bladders, and BMX cyclists only. No other uses allowed • All spectators must remain outside the skate area. • Weather conditions may cause unsafe conditions. • Supervision of younger children is recommended. PROHIBITED: 1. Bicycles with pegs and wheels larger than 20’. 2. Motorized scooters and other vehicles 3. Excessive noise including amplified sound devices. 4. Disorderly conduct, profanity and behavior that leads to conflict. 5. Acts involving vandalism, graffiti or modifica- tions to the facility. 6. Dogs or other animals. 7. Glass. 8.
