TO: PARMLY BILLINGS LIBRARY BOARD MEMBERS FROM: NICKI BROCH, PRESIDENT, FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY RE: FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT MEETING DATE: MAY 8, 2008 The FOL book sale will be on 5/2 - 5/4. We should have the results by the meeting on Thurs., 5/8. This is a trial run for the spring. If successful, we will make it an annual event. The Books for Babies committee is meeting on 4/30. This is a joint effort with the Junior Women's Club Education Committee. The FOL recently changed their mission statement to include "and literacy" following the sentence containing the commitment to the library. This will enable us to do this kind of joint venture with the purpose of introducing the library to potential patrons. The FOL has made extensive changes in our sale room which will obviate the need for using the Broadway Room during sales. There have been new lights installed in the ell off the main room. Please visit us either during the sale or after. We have also arranged with Sandy Raymond to have Action Electric install new lighting in the future kitchen area.
