RESOLUTION NO. 06-18438 A RESOLUTION OF THE BILLINGS MONTANA CITY COUNCIL CREATING AN ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER CONTRACT STANDARDS AD HOC COMMITTEE, ESTABLISHING THE COMMITTEE PURPOSE, THE SCOPE OF ITS RESPONSIBILITIES, ITS COMPOSITION AND ITS DURATION BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Billings (the “City”), Montana, as follows: Section 1. Creation: There is hereby created the City of Billings Architect and Engineer Contract Standards Ad Hoc Committee (the Committee). Section 2. Purpose: The Committee’s purpose is to review the City of Billings’ standard contract for Architects and Engineers, determine if there are provisions that are detrimental to the parties and propose needed changes to the City Council and staff. Section 3. Scope of Responsibilities: The Committee will advise the City Council. It may not commit the City or expend funds. Section 4. Composition: The Committee is composed of eight members; one City Council member, five architects and engineers and two City staff members. The City Council member is Nancy Boyer, the architects and engineers are Eric Simonsen, Jolene Reich, Don Olson, Rick Leuthold and Bill Enright and the City staff members are David Mumford, Public Works Director and Bruce McCandless, Deputy City Administrator. Section 5. Duration: The Committee shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council until excused from duty. The committee’s expected duration is through August, 2006.
